1) Watch the Learning Through Play Videos : Reading, Playdough, Magnetic Letters and Numbers, Environmental Print, Creativity, Activity and Music
2) Family Cookbook is filled with many recipes you and your child can make together.
3) Music : Ten fun, interactive songs you can download and sing with your child.
We will provide you with a Welcome to Kindergarten Bag that includes: books, paper, scissors, crayons, pencil, magnetic letters and numbers and more of activities that you can do with your child.

Welcome to Kindergarten BLOG
Over The Summer
Help your child learn to:
put on their own shoes and coat
open up their own lunch box and feed themselves
wash and dry their hands
use the toilet on their own
Below is a great list of resources about building independence in your child.
"Getting Ready for School" Routine Resource
What your child will need for school in September....
Velcro Running Shoes
These shoes will be kept at school.
Please put your child's name on his/her/their shoes.
Extra Clothing
Shirt, pants, socks and underwear
Please place in a bag with your child's name on it.
A Backpack
Large enough to carry a library book.
Please write your child's name on the bag on the inside.
Your child's name on his/her/their belongings
So we know who things belong to.
Outdoor Play Clothes
Your child will need clothing to play outside everyday, in all weather.
Face Masks
TDSB schools are mask-friendly environments.
Masks are available to students and staff upon request.
Classroom environments are inclusive of all students.
SEPT Settlement Workers
Our settlement support services assist newcomers. If you would like support filling out forms, or any other support accessing services, we have a team of Settlement Workers that are available to support you.
