New Students, please check your personal email for important information. It may take up to 48 hours after attending your first class for your TDSB email account to become active.

How do I login for the first time?

Access ALL of your TDSB digital spaces by:

a. visiting: aw.tdsb.on.ca

b. use your student # for your username

c. follow the instructions below to activate your new password.


First time users, your password has been reset to the "shared secret password".

Follow the steps below.


Your shared secret password will be 13 characters - with NO spaces - consisting of:

  • last 4 digits of your student number

  • 2 digits day of birth

  • 2 digits month of birth

  • @Tdsb (notice the T is upper case)

Access your TDSB email account

You must be enrolled and actively attending courses in order to gain access to your TDSB email account.

It may take up to 2 days after you first attend class for your email to become active.

Step 1. Open a web browser on your device. We recommend downloading and using Google Chrome.

Step 2. type aw.tdsb.on.ca/sites/awsupport in the address bar and click on "Mail".

2. Google Classroom

Many teachers use google classroom as their online learning platform. You can access assignments, course content, important dates etc.

To access Google Apps such as "Classroom" follow the steps below:

Step 1: type aw.tdsb.on.ca/sites/awsupport in the address bar and click on "Google Apps".

Step 2: Click on "Classroom" and then on the "+" (located at the top right of your screen)

Step 3: Click 'Join class" and enter the code your teacher has provided.


3. Brightspace

Many teachers use Brightspace as their online learning platform. You can access assignments, course content, important dates etc.

Step 1: type aw.tdsb.on.ca/sites/awsupport in the address bar. Hover your mouse over the the resources tab and then select Brightspace

Step 2: Make sure to login using your TDSB email account.

Step 3: follow the instructions provided to you by your teachers.

4. Google Meet

Is a meeting platform that allows for video and chat between you, your classmates and teachers.

Step 1: type: aw.tdsb.on.ca/sites/awsupport in the address bar and click on "Google Apps".

Step 2: Select "Meet" from the Drop Down Menu.


5. Zoom

Zoom is meeting platform that allows for video and chat between you, your classmates and teachers.

Step 1: type aw.tdsb.on.ca/sites/awsupport in the address bar and click on "Resources" and select Zoom.

Step 2: Follow the instructions given to you by your teacher

  • your teacher may have the Zoom link directly in your BrightSpace course page, which is just above Zoom on the "Resources" menu
