IDC4U - Interdisciplinary Studies - Financial Securities (Grade 12)
This course aims to develop the skill required to become an “Interpreneur,” that is Interdisciplinary Entrepreneurs, applying processes and problem solving skills to the study of financial management, capital markets and the ways in which capital is acquired. Students will interconnect knowledge of English, Accounting, Economics, Law, Entrepreneurship and Media. They will use diverse information skills, resources and technologies to gather information related to a variety of Canadian and international financial institutions, investigate how to increase net worth and examine investments in stock markets. This course makes use of many simulations including online stock market simulations and a simulated financial plan for a real client! (Prerequisite: any Grade 11 ‘U’ course.)
