We accept applications from students in grades 9 to 12. The program officially starts in grade 11 but registering as a grade 9 and 10 student ensures that you have access to exclusive events, announcements and trips! AYJ Business SHSM Council

AYJ Business SHSM Council prepares aspiring business students for post-secondary and beyond with a multitude of different opportunities such as investment competitions, practical workshops, alumni talks, and entrepreneurship field trips. Additionally, we guide students through the Business SHSM process and ensure that they meet all requirements necessary to graduate with a red SHSM seal.

What is the SHSM Program?

A Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) is a specialized, ministry-approved program for Grade 11 and 12 students in Ontario, Canada, that allows them to focus their learning on a specific economic sector while earning their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
