From an early age, I always wanted to become a special education teacher and I now have the wonderful privilege of doing so. I take this great responsibility very seriously. It is my belief that all children can learn. I am truly excited at the opportunity to witness first-hand the growth your child. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree from Eastern Illinois University and began teaching in the Alton School District. Following Alton, I taught at Bethalto High School where I began working on my Master's Degree with a focus on Educational Administration. While working on completing my Master's Degree I was offered a position at Triad High School. I currently teach Fundamental Algebra 1A, Study Skills, and Co-Teach English II.

Triad Lifeskills (TLS) is an academic program that provides instruction in Reading/English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Life Skills, and Vocational Skills. TLS instruction emphasizes the essential content of academic standards while also supporting students’ individual goals for the future. Students who wish to pursue a high school diploma focus primarily on academics and may take five or more years to complete their studies. Students who choose to earn a certificate of completion also take academic classes; however, their programming emphasizes preparation for post-secondary life, with the certificate typically completed in four years. Upon finishing the TLS program, students may continue their learning and skill development in the TLS Transition to Adult Living Program.

Hello! I graduated from Illinois State University in 2019 and got my bachelors degree in Special Education! I am currently working on getting my masters at SIUE. Since graduating from ISU, I have been teaching special education in the Triad School District. I spent the first 4 years teaching 2nd Grade Special Education at Silver Creek Elementary.
The Bridge Program is designed to help students successfully complete all graduation requirements while receiving additional academic support. Students in the program will complete four years of coursework in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and other required subjects in order to earn a high school diploma. Along with meeting academic expectations, the Bridge Program emphasizes the development of postsecondary work and life skills, ensuring that students are well-prepared for both college and career opportunities after graduation.
