How do I sign up for band???

Step 1: Fill out the interest form that is linked HERE 

Step 2: Come to the interest meeting and pick out YOUR instrument (Date and Time TBD) 

*STEP 3*: When choosing elective classes, SIGN UP FOR BAND!!!

Step 4: Come to Band Camp over the summer (More information will be coming soon)  

WHY SHOULD YOU DO BAND?!?

1. Band is a great way to meet new friends, and also have a guaranteed class with your friends!

2. Go on super awesome trips such as Carowinds, Dollywood, Bush Gardens, Gatlinburg, and possibly even Disney World!!

3. Play super awesome instruments and music.

Q. Can I do sports and Band?

A. Absolutely, we have students on every single sports team at BMS in the Band program and on sports team. Band is class during the school day and we make sure there are not conflicts between sports and band.

Q. Band sounds expensive, will I be able to afford it? 

A. Yes, here at BMS we make it our mission to allow every student who wants to do band to be able to do so, no matter finical situations. We do offer instruments from the school and help with trips and other activities. 

Q. Can I still do band even if I do not know how to read music?

A. Definitely, over 95% of the students that we have in band did not know how to read music when they started in band. We take the first few weeks to learn how to read the music while we are learning to play our instruments. 

Q. What trips do we get to go on?

A. Every year all band students get to go either Carowinds or Dollywood (depending on the year). The band also takes other trips to places all around WNC for festivals and concerts. We also are planing to take a larger trip to places like Disney World!
