Susan's Brief Bio

I am originally from Western North Carolina and currently reside in Brevard, NC. I started working as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for Transylvania County Schools in 1999 and previously worked as a SLP at the Olson Huff Center and Transylvania Regional Hospital. I received my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Western Carolina University.

In 2019-2020 school year, I changed roles and became the Transition Coordinator for Transylvania County Schools. The Transition Coordinator position allows me to reconnect with many former students and families to help them prepare for transitions from middle to high school and from high school to adulthood. I work with students and families at Brevard Middle/Brevard High, Rosman Middle/Rosman High and Davidson-River High Schools.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, estate/vintage treasure hunting, reading and gardening.
