Welcome to AIG!! For those of you that do not know me, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and your family. My name is Stefanie Tomlin and I am the AIG teacher for Pisgah Forest Elementary. I graduated from Mars Hill College with a degree in Elementary Education and have worked with Transylvania County Schools since 2006. I am married and have two children in college. My hobbies include reading, hiking, trying new recipes, and spending time with my family.
I look forward to getting to know each student better in my class this year and their parents/grandparents too. I want to thank you and all your family members for all the time and effort you have put into helping your child succeed in school. This year I will try to make the AIG class both challenging and fun by planning activities that will help your child develop a deeper understanding of his/her grade level curriculum. We will also work on projects and activities that will help to develop your child’s critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, and provide him/her with an opportunity to be creative. I look forward to the many learning experiences we will have in the Academically and Intellectually Gifted classes this year.
