Communication

PLEASE SIGN AND RETURN ALL FORMS IN THE BLUE COMMUNICATION FOLDER

  • Students may bring a water bottle each day.

  • Please fill out the "Getting to Know Your Child" form that I sent home.

  • Ice Cream is every Friday starting the second week of school. The ice cream prepay form was in the lunch application packet.

  • Student chromebooks cannot be sent home until we have received a signed Chromebook Form. Students will now only bring chromebooks home for scheduled Virtual Learning Days, or if inclement weather is expected.

  • Make sure to check your class dojo daily for important communication. The classroom website is also a good resource for you to use.

  • Your child will bring home their blue communication folder every night. Please make sure to check your child’s folder daily for important forms or notes from school.

  • Please ensure that I know how your child is to get home each day. If there is a need for a change to their normal transportation routine, you MUST send a note or call the school that day by 2:30 or earlier. Without a note or a phone call, I cannot send your child home a different way or with different adults or students. This is to ensure your child’s safety. We want to make sure that everyone arrives home safely. I cannot take a first grader’s word or rely on him/her to remember to tell us what he/she is doing each day.

  • Please make sure to fill out and return the Free/Reduced lunch form if it is needed. Our school funding is affected by how many students qualify for free or reduced lunch.

  • We will try to have a snack every day. I ask that food be something that children can eat during a 10-minute snack time and be as healthy as possible. Sodas and candy are not snack appropriate items. STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SHARE SNACKS WITH OTHER STUDENTS.

  • Children who wish to eat breakfast in the classroom need to arrive earlier so that they have time to eat and get settled in. Any child that comes after the tardy bell must check in at the office. Please have your child to school on time. It is hard on students when they arrive late. They must play catch-up all day and have already missed important instructional time. Late arrivals and early dismissals must be cleared through the office.
