In Foundations of Math 1, we will build upon the skills and concepts focused on in middle school math, including basic operations with integers and rational numbers, combining like terms, and solving and graphing equations with variables.  Additionally, we will begin Math 1 curriculum, which includes: Linear Equations and Inequalities, Systems of Equations, Exponents, Operations with Polynomials, Quadratic Functions, Exponential Functions, Coordinate Geometry, and Statistics.  Standards for Mathematical Practice will be applied throughout the course and help students develop the ability to make sense of mathematical problems and use logic and reasoning to solve problems.
