Hello!
I'm Ms. Erica Starr, one of the EC Teachers at PFE. This will be my seventh year teaching, and fourth year teaching in Transylvania County Schools.
In my free time, I enjoy taking my dogs to the dog park, and hanging out with my fiancé and our 3 cats. I love to do yoga, knit, and try new places around town. As a Seattle native for 24 years, I enjoy watching football and rooting for the Seattle Seahawks.
Welcome to My Class!
I am a certified Exceptional Children's General Curriculum Teacher, and work primarily with students in 3rd and 5th grades. I assist students with Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals in the areas of Reading, Writing, and Math. Additionally, I assist students in learning Social/Emotional skills and support learning in the classroom.
I believe that all children, regardless of ability, are capable of achieving academic achievement and success. My goals as an educator are to promote a positive learning environment, provide a foundation of knowledge and inspire lifelong learners, and help students build a growth mindset. I expect all students to word hard, maintain a safe and positive learning environment, and try their best.
