In my class, we use cooperative learning through the use of groups during whole group Reading.  I believe it is important for students to share ideas with one another and to be able to listen to different ideas and view points.

In my class, students know it is ok to make mistakes.  Students are encouraged to "think outside the box".  My students love sharing their life experiences to make connections to what we are discussing.  

I am excited to teach reading and CKLA this year.  Comprehension is my jam! My favorite things to hear are "this story is so fun," "I enjoy reading," and "can we read just one more chapter".

 I love it when I see students have "light bulb" moments...moments when the light comes on and they understand a concept or idea.
