I am looking forward to working with you this year! I have been teaching since 1999 ranging in experience from preschool through adult instruction, but my specialty has been in the middle school. I love middle school students and I enjoy sharing my love for reading and writing with each of them. Challenge and high expectations are my goals for every learner, and I strive to make sure my students know they are cared for and that I believe in them.
When I am not teaching, I am enjoying my two amazing kids, Andrew and Jay, and my dog, Daisy. Reading, photography, hiking, zumba, and my friends also make me happy.
I am originally from Virginia, just outside of the Washington D.C. area, so I am often cheering for the Washington sports teams whenever I get a chance.
