Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education
Hello, I am Katharina Kramer, or Kat for short. I will be teaching 4th grade this year! I am so excited to begin my teaching career here at RES!
I was raised in Asheville, North Carolina, and had the pleasure of attending Brevard College where I have very recently graduated with a Bachelor in Elementary Education.
Outside of school, I love to play video games, read, and draw. Additionally, I love to learn; I hope that with my background in PBL (Project-based learning) and GBL (Game-based learning), I can help my students love learning as much as I do!
This will be my second year teaching and so there will be lots of learning happening in the classroom this year for both students and myself. It will be an exciting time as both the class and I will be exploring standards and using our mindfulness skills to give each other grace.
I cannot wait to see what this year will bring us!
Go tigers!
During my first year, I implemented a multitude of games and projects for students to enourage a love for learning. Seen to the right are just two of the projects we did. This included creating our own guild and creating a city using or knowledge of volume!

While student teaching, I worked with our History teacher to create one of my favorite projects I have ever produced. Seen to the left is a Greek Parthenon that my 6th graders at Brevard Middle School created, using their knowledge of Geometry and Greek Architecture.
