Teacher Bio

Welcome to my site! I have began my teaching career in 2003. I am certified in both Elementary Education K-6 as well as Exceptional Children K-12. I have been at PFE since 2021. This is my third year serving as the Reading Interventionist and I will also be teaching math groups for various grades.

I grew up in Brevard and attended Transylvania County Schools  before my family moved to Kansas. I came back to WNC to attend Appalachian State University where I met my husband.  We lived in Florida for ten years and moved back to Brevard in 2010 to raise our two daughters (18 and 15).  When I’m not teaching, you can find me in my garden, running or hiking trails, reading, and playing with my family and pets. 

I believe that every child has the ability to learn and it is my job to instill  a love of lifelong learning.
