Hello, I am John Brinkley. I have been the Art Teacher here for more than 15 years. I have been married for over 20 years and have two kids in college. I am an oil painter. I paint a variety of commissioned subjects, and paint non-objectively as well.

When I am not in the classroom I am hard to find. I love to travel the world, and spend all my free time outside. I enjoy standing in a river trying to fool fish with a fly or running dogs in pursuit of a variety of game.

Welcome to My Class!

Students in my classroom are exposed to Art from around the world. I believe Art enables students to see the potential for getting the most out of life. Art is the oldest and most accurate record of our lives and experiences on earth. It is my job to provide Art experiences for learners that develop an understanding of the language of Art, the Principles and Elements of Art, so that they can make sense of the visual world around them. We use this in studio to produce a variety of Art work by problem solving with a variety of media, studying Art History, and analyzing the process and finished product.
