About Me

Biography:

I am a Transylvania County native and an eighteen-year veteran of the Culinary Arts & Hospitality Industry, with a specialization in fine-dining and private country clubs. I am now embarking on my eighth year teaching here at Brevard High School and our third year offering the Culinary Arts & Hospitality Program. 

Our previous program focused on home cooking and nutrition, we have now switched gears and will be focusing on commercial cooking, restaurant management, and entrepreneurship skills that will allow students more opportunities for employment and careers in the Foodservice & Hospitality Industries.  

I like to incorporate my work experience into the classroom so that my students can see real-world applications of the information they are learning in the classroom, as well as, provide my students with opportunities to make connections with businesses and members of our community.
