I am a Transylvania County native and a twenty-year veteran of the Culinary Arts & Hospitality Industry, specializing in fine dining and private country clubs. I am now embarking on my tenth year teaching at Brevard High School.
Our program focuses on commercial cooking, food safety & sanitation, restaurant management, and entrepreneurship skills that will allow students more opportunities for employment and careers in the Foodservice & Hospitality Industries.
I like to incorporate my work experience into the classroom so that my students can see real-world applications of the information they are learning in the classroom, in addition to, providing my students with opportunities to make connections with businesses and members of our community.
