Courses I Teach Here at BMS
Exploring CS is a hands-on survey course for 8th graders and an introduction to information technology and the associated skills and competencies within the industry including office productivity, digital media, computing systems, programming, data, and so much more. The course focuses on the development of real world projects that students can use to demonstrate their IT skills.
7th Graders could solve a series of puzzles, challenges, and real-world scenarios using problem-solving processes. Explore how computers take input, output, store, and process information to help humans resolve problems. Design original content and share it on a webpage using HTML and CSS. Explore the knowledge and skills for careers in the Computer Science, IT, and Technology pathways.
Develop an orientation to career planning and future employment success. Explore the world of work, skills needed for employment success, and the career planning and preparation process. Build understanding of the National Career Development Guidelines, including communications skills, personal management, and teamwork. Gain the knowledge and skills for careers in all CTE pathways.
