Battle of the Books
On Friday, April 1, 2022, the BMS Battle of the Books team competed in the WNC Regionals virtual battle. They did an amazing job, placing SECOND, just behind Henderson County Schools (HMS). This talented team worked hard and prepared all year. They have certainly made us proud and represented BMS well. Way to go!

We compete at the county level against Rosman Middle in late February/early March* and the winning team

The club has concluded for the 2021-22 school year, but we will start up again in the Fall of 2022.
Battle of the Books usually meets on Wednesdays in the BMS library until 4:00.
BMS Battle of the Books, 2019-2020 Transylvania County champions!
In a close battle, Brevard Middle came out victorious over Rosman Middle at the county match held in early March in the TC Library Rogow Room. Due to Covid-19, Regionals were cancelled, but BMS is proud to represent as the TCS Middle School Battle of the Books Champions. Way to go!
So what is BoB?
After reading books on the list and memorizing the titles and authors, students prepare for competition by answering questions that begin with the phrase: "In which book...?" We compete against RMS at the county level, and the winner of that contest will advance to Regionals in the early Spring.
