Teacher Bio
Born and raised in Overland Park, Kansas. I am the 5th child of 7 total so naturally I was pushed into an outgoing personality. I always loved babysitting growing up and my mother often joked that I was the "second mom." In high school I began working as an Assistant Teacher for the local YMCA afterschool care program. I knew from the moment I walked in on that first day that I was destined to be a teacher. Fast forward 7 years later and I am truly living my dream. I strive to provide students the same positive influence and love for education that a few amazing teachers along the was provided for me.

I know how difficult school can be if you are not provided a welcoming and encouraging environment that supports ALL learners. I work to establish a community in which students can learn not just how to be skilled in Math and ELA but how to be a good citizen of the world. I strive to make school exciting for students by allowing them to lead their own educational journey. Curiosity motivates students to explore and navigate the world around us. My goal is that my students never feel like learning is a chore but instead an opportunity.
