Educator Bio

I think that seeing the creativity of students is one of the most incredible parts of being a teacher. While math is what I teach I really enjoy getting to learn what students are passionate  about and finding ways to put math in terms that relate to different interests and hobbies. 

I like to work hard and play hard. It is important to work hard in your studies, and it is important to dive deep into what you find important. I like to spend time with my family and get out into the woods for mountain biking and trial running whenever I have the time. 

I taught at the Outdoor Academy at Eagles Nest before teaching internationally, two years in Panama and two years in Italy. After that I was teaching back in North Carolina for five years before landing at beautiful Brevard High School and am excited to be in this community while my wife is teaching at PFE, where our daughter also attends.
