Teacher Bio
Originally from the Mid-Hudson Valley area of New York, I now call western North Carolina my home. After moving down to the Raleigh area and finishing both high school and college there, I decided to raise my family in a more peaceful environment and chose the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.
My family includes my husband, my two sons, and my bonus son. My oldest son is an active duty Airman, and my youngest son is currently attending Brevard High School. I love to read, explore the forests around me, cheer on my students in whatever sports events I can go to, and bake. I also love flamingos.
I recently decided to finally pursue my true passion- working with students and helping them become successful, so I went back to school and received my masters degree in special education. I believe that every child can learn, and it is our job to meet them where they are, encourage them, protect them, nurture their creativity, and respect their individuality.
I worked at Brevard Middle School for the past 4 years, but recently moved to Rosman Middle School. I am so excited to be at Rosman Middle School this year, and I cannot wait to meet my future students and their families and see what amazing things we will accomplish together this year! Go tigers!!
