Gifted and 2e Support Group: We have not tried out this group, but wanted to share. If you go to a session, please let us know how it went. Sessions are $25 and meet for 1 hour on Wednesdays (am and pm times). "We know that parenting is hard, and some have even said that parenting twice exceptional children is twice as hard. It is also true that it can also be twice as rewarding! Just as our children experience life with great intensity - with low lows and high highs - as their parents and caregivers, we live with that intensity as well. Balancing those extremes, all while managing work, home life, screen time, homework, and mental and physical health can leave parents feeling overwhelmed, confused, and isolated. Led by Maratea Cantarella, LMSW, this online support group is modeled after the support groups she developed for Twice Exceptional Children’s Advocacy (TECA). These weekly groups offer participants the chance to connect with others, learn and share strategies, and find joy in parenting these uniquely gifted kids. Groups are open to parents and caregivers of all twice exceptional children and teens. "
