Teton County School District is a diverse school district that shares responsibility for the success of all students. Our Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum (GVC) supports dynamic teaching and learning and is designed to ensure equity and academic success for every student, with multiple opportunities to demonstrate mastery. Components of the GVC are reflected in the visual below.
This framework has two primary audiences: (1) educators and administrators responsible for instruction and (2) students, parents, and members of the community.
The GVC is grounded in Wyoming Content and Performance Standards (WYCPS) and core skills. Our GVC is:
Rigorous & Relevant: Challenging academic material at grade level that connects to the real world.
Responsive & Relational: Incorporating culturally and linguistically affirming practices.
Agency-Focused: Developing skills that empower students to take ownership of their success through learning.
