Frequently Asked Questions

What is Trinity Reads?

Reading matters at TCS, so Trinity Reads is our way of encouraging you to read something for pleasure over the summer months. In September, you will meet for an informal book discussion with other people in our school community who have read the same book.

Do I have to read a book off this list?

Yes please - we are returning to the original Trinity Reads model where groups will be made up of people who have read the same book (off this list).

How does a book end up on this list?

Every book was recommended by a student or member of staff, has been popular in the library this year and/or is very positively reviewed.

What's up with content advisory notes for some titles?

Like the Senior School library, this reading list serves the Grade 9-12 student population. For books on the list that have mature content (such as language and/or themes), details have been provided to support your book selection; look for the blue highlighting under the cover image on the book description page. Please do not hesitate to email sstraughan@tcs.on.ca for readers' advisory support.

Why isn't the book I want available as an ebook or audiobook?

Unfortunately, publishers make the rules about which titles are available for library lending. If a digital format is important to you, please look at the "Available in Sora" tab, or contact the library if you are associated with Academic Support. Alternatively, if you wish to purchase the title, you will likely find it on iTunes or Audible.

How do I choose a book?

After looking through all of the options, click on the "Click here to choose your book" button on the main page to choose your book; up until Easter break, you will have the option to order a print copy.

How do I get a copy of the book?
