"...it was a hobbit- hole, and that means comfort."

J.R.R. Tolkien- An Unexpected Guest- The Hobbit

Welcome to comfort, joy, adventure, and learning. Welcome to our TCPS library. I am delighted to be a part of the literary journey of our students.

Our theme this year is COMFORT. Discovering books that bring us a sense of ease and happiness in surroundings that would please any Hobbit!

We welcome guest readers and guests! Please stop in.

The TCPS Library offers our school community access to a variety of information sources which can be accessed on site or via the library catalog.

The goal of our program is to encourage students to be tenacious and independent learners, to ask questions, to develop information-seeking strategies, and to develop a love of literature. I strive to collaborate with teachers and engage with students through read-aloud, storytelling, puppetry, book talks, and film studies. Students visit the library each week with their classes, but are welcome to visit at any time during school hours with permission.

Warmly, Ms. Szalay
