I was born and raised in a small town in Rhode Island. After college I lived in Boston, MA for a few years before I was drawn to the beautiful city of San Diego.
I graduated from Stonehill College with BA in Elementary Education and a concentration in English. I earned my masters degree in Mathematics Education K-8 from San Diego State University.
I joined the staff at TCPS in 2010 as an elementary and middle school math teacher. In 2013 I became the 2/3 homeroom teacher. While living in Boston, I taught 3rd grade in the town of Wakefield. Before I had my own classroom I subbed and tutored in classes from kindergarten to middle school. In 2011 I brought a group of high school student ambassadors to Australia with People to People International. Currently, I also tutor and run yoga camps for kids in the summer.
I am the oldest of 4 children. I have two sisters (Christine and Caroline) and one brother (John). Now I have a nephew, PJ. We are all very in love with him! My whole family lives in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. I try to get back there to see them at least twice a year.
When I am not in the classroom, you can find me in the yoga studio, seeing live music, at the beach, in the kitchen, or making jewelry. If I am really lucky, I might even be traveling!
