Builds Instructional Partnerships Partners with educators to design and implement evidence based curricula and assessments that integrate elements of deeper learning, critical thinking information literacy, digital citizenship, creativity, innovation, and the active use of technology.

Here is what I am currently doing in this focus area: Collaborate with 7th and 8th grade English teachers for instructional needs for thier library time. Sharing the lesson plans iwth them prior to classes coming to the library. Sharing class wrok with the 5th/6th grade teachers. Offer to ehlp with research, citation formats, etc with High School Teachers.

Here is what I want to do in this focus area: Incorporate both the American Association of School Librarians (ASSL) Standardes and the Wisconsin State Reading Curriculum intothe 5th/6th grade specials rotation. Collaborate with the 7th/8th grade English Teachers to reinformce needed reading and writin gksills. Continue to use technology as a tool to showcase both evidence of learning and as a tool for learning. Use MS SSR time as a format to reach reluctant readers by offering Read Aloud in the Library.

Here are my goals for this year in this focus area: Support 7th and 8th grade English teachers in curriculum with mini lessons during Library time. Assiste 5th-7th grade stduetns to research and create a finsihed produc with grade level appropriate citations and digital presentation components.

Here are my goals for next year and beyond in this focus area: Continue to co-teach and reinforce ELA standards during Library Classes with Middle School teachers. Teach digital/media literacy class for 7th grade. Teach Digital media literacy to a High School Class once a year. Continue teaching website evaluation to 6th grade as part of Mrs. Smith's resarch unit. Continue to support reluctant readers with weekly MS Read Aloud.
