CSA prides itself on its events that aim to increase diversity and cultural awareness of Chinese, Taiwanese and Asian Culture at The College of New Jersey. Below is a list of yearly events we hold that have been very successful!
The annual trip to Manhattan's Chinatown allows students a chance to take a day trip into Manhatten while exploring the birth place of Chinese culture in New York City.
CSA's upscaled version of a "coffee-house". The event features talent acts from TCNJ students while touching on the significance of teahouses in Chinese and Taiwanese culture. Traditional Chinese teas are also served.
CSA's main event which focuses on the cultural traditions and celebration of the Chinese-Lunar New Year. The executive board prides themselves on performing the dragon dance. Other live cultural performances and Chinese dishes are also featured.
An annual pageant featuring chosen members from each Pan-Asian Alliance club who compete for the crown, and showcase their cultural traditions, and talents while raising money for a charity of their choice!
Club members make their own lanterns and showcase them on the lake while enjoying snacks and learning about China's Lantern festival
