Dr. Lauren Madden is the Project SEA PI. She is a Professor in the Department of Elementary & Early Childhood Education in TCNJ's School of Education, where she also coordinates the Minor and Graduate Certificate programs in Environmental Sustainability Education. The goal of her work is to advocate for scientific literacy and the health of our planet through teaching and learning. She holds a PhD in Science Education, MS in Marine Science, and BA in Earth Science: Oceanography.
Graceanne Taylor is the Education and Outreach Coordinator at Save Barnegat Bay. Graceanne has been an environmental educator in the Barnegat Bay Watershed for almost a decade. Using her knowledge of Barnegat Bay, she has been working to improve Save Barnegat Bay's unique, local curriculum called "This Way to Barnegat Bay". With leadership from TCNJ, TWBB will now be up to formal classroom standards.
Dr. Nathan Magee is a Professor in the Physics Department at TCNJ. Nate's research strives to understand the central role of clouds in mediating climate change. Nate is also the director of the TCNJ Noyce project, where he helps train outstanding new high school physics teachers. Dr. Magee holds a PhD in Atmospheric Science from Penn State University and a B.S. in Physics from Carleton College.
Dr. Louise Ammentorp is a Professor in the Elementary and Early Childhood Education Department at TCNJ. Her research interests include best practices and innovation in teacher preparation and p-6 classrooms, with a focus on the integration of nature and the arts in the curriculum, Social-Emotional Learning, and teaching and learning with outdoor and hydroponic gardens in all classrooms an. Dr. Ammentorp holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology and BA's in Psychology and Art History.
