4) What is one act?
2 answers:
A) One Act refers to the length of a production, most shows are 2-3 acts and are ~2.5 hours long, however one act is a shorter play/musical and are ~1 hour long.
B. One Act Play is an area of competition held by the GHSA where we compete against the schools in our region (Houston County, Northside Warner Robins, Veterans, Lee County, & Tift County) where each school prepares a show beginning in August of the school year & compete in late October. At this competition each group is allotted 55 minutes to set up, act out, and break down their production; students also watch the other productions from the other schools & judges use a tabulation sheet to score each production.
