I've been teaching here in TCIS since 2014. In my first year, I taught elementary school, which I found fun and super challenging. Four years from the start I had a big change moving across the campus to become a high school teacher. I currently teach 9-12 grade both Thai and Non-Thai classes. Knowing I would teach new grade levels, I felt like those little kindergarten kids stepping into their first grade or the 8th graders changing to the 9 grade and waiting to see what this new change will bring. TCIS students constantly surprise me despite the different of ages or grade levels! The feeling of accomplishment seeing students grow in knowledge, skills and confidence makes me feel like my work has a special purpose. I enjoy seeing the ed tech and all the cool teaching tools that didn't exist when I was in school. It keeps me learning new things every day.

My interest in languages and literature began when I went to high school for learning French. Later on I still chose to study in languages areas. I learn more about Thai language, linguistic and literature along with English as I went to university. Rita Mae Brown said that, "Language is the road map of a culture. It tells you where its people come form and where they're going." I believe that languages help us to understand people so that we learn to respect each other.
