The Texas Education Agency (TEA) provides curriculum standards statewide, which outline what students should know and be able to do in each course or grade level, called the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
Waxahachie ISD instructional learning documents below provide a brief overview of the standards and a recommended teaching order for the grade level or course. Questions about the curriculum in your child's classroom would best be answered by the classroom teacher. As you look through these documents, you will see a set of letters and numbers that will reference specific TEKS covered within a unit or subject. These letters and numbers represent a specific standard within the TEKS document linked above.
