Borrowing books from the library is a learned responsibility. Therefore, students at Wedgeworth will begin the year getting to check out a certain number of books and as they show responsibility by taking care of their books and returning their materials, they will earn the privilege of checking out more books.

Kindergarten- 5th graders

Kindergarten-1st Grade

Objectives will focus on early literacy skills and building a foundation to love reading.

2nd-5th Grade

Library staff will teach integrated lessons in a hybrid combination of virtual and in person. Objectives will focus on the new procedures of library use like how to place holds and how to access digital resources. Then objectives will move to an integrated framework, combining classroom curriculum with information literacy skills.
