Students can earn their physical education graduation requirement from any combination of the following one-half (0.5) to one (1.0) credit courses.

Outdoor Adventures is a fun and exciting co-ed physical education course. Students are taught life-long skills by using integrated curriculum of science, math, writing, critical thinking skills, and computer technology. The focus is on outdoor activities such as: archery, orienteering, survival skills, first aid/CPR, trip planning, angling, tackle crafts, hiking, backpacking,and camping .
This course is designed to give students the opportunity to learn weight training concepts and techniques used for obtaining optimal physical fitness. Students will benefit from comprehensive weight training and cardiorespiratory endurance activities. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of weight training, strength training, aerobic training, and overall fitness training and conditioning.

The “Spirit of Waxahachie” Indian Marching Band is comprised of the band students enrolled in Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band and Concert Band.
