In an era of increasing digital adoption, protecting student data privacy is paramount. This session introduces the TCEA PROTECT rubric, a comprehensive tool designed for K-12 technology leaders. Attendees will explore how to apply the rubric to assess and enhance their current edtech solutions, focusing on key areas such as parental rights, data retention, and robust security measures. By the end of the session, participants will have actionable strategies to ensure compliance with major regulations and create a safer digital environment for students.
