Canadian Tamil Congress

"The Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC) is a non-profit organization which serves as the voice of Tamil Canadians. They promote the participation of Tamil Canadians in activities of local, regional, provincial and national importance, work with various levels of Governments in Canada to highlight and resolve issues impacting Tamil Canadians, cooperate with Canadian and international organizations in alleviating the suffering and provide humanitarian assistance to Tamils worldwide, and champion for equality, and equal opportunity for all diverse groups, in particular gender equality, by working towards the elimination of all forms of discrimination and intolerance. They also recognize and support the social, cultural and political aspirations of the Tamils in the island of Sri Lanka and worldwide and work to advance the research, study and usage of the Tamil language and culture and develop and enhance working relationships with other ethnocultural groups in Canada.

Queer Tamil Collective

The Queer Tamil Collective is a transnational collective of multi-generational Queer Tamil artists, activists, and educators. They aim to help others understand everything 2SLGBTQ+ within the Tamil community, and form a community where people are safe and free to express who they are. They coordinate events and were a part of Pride week as well.

Tamil Nadu Multicultural Association of Canada

"TMAC regularly conducts meet and greet events, Eid Celebrations, summer picnics on a yearly basis. It also serves as a medium of communication to its members. At present, our association holds about 200 families in GTA who get a chance to meet on a regular basis. Other than these events, our association identifies the needs of newcomers settlement, employment, mentorship, sports activities to the well-being of its members and the society at large."
