This article explores the disparity in representation of Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) in leadership positions within Ontario's public education system. It examines how hiring practices and systemic barriers contribute to this underrepresentation, emphasizing that decision-makers often favor candidates who reflect their own backgrounds. The paper calls for transformative, self-reflective practices among administrators to address these inequities and promote diversity in educational leadership.
