This course focuses on enabling students to refine their use of the creative process when creating and presenting two- and three-dimensional art works using a variety of traditional and emerging media and technologies. Students will use the critical analysis process to deconstruct art works and explore connections between art and society. The studio program enables students to explore a range of materials, processes, and techniques that can be applied in their own art production. Students will also make connections between various works of art in personal, contemporary, historical, and cultural contexts.

In the grade 12 Design course, students will have the opportunity to focus on any discipline of design of their choice. They can also combine 2 disciplines. They can choose;
Fashion Design, Jewellery Design, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or Ceramics.
Students will create their own business concept or brand. An in-depth study of Design history and disciplines will take place. Students will also do a research project. If students are applying to a Design program for post-secondary, they will also begin building their portfolios in this course.
In this course students will create;
a Logo Design
3 major works in any discipline of design of their choice
