His first live singing and playing performance happened in 1982, when he sang “Tainted Love” with his high school band, for the students of Madonna High School in North York. He was also involved with the Stage Crew for all his high school productions. When asked about those experiences he said, “ I don’t remember a single lesson in class, whether it was math, English, or history. But I remember every day when we practiced or performed our shows. I distinctly remember how sad we were when the show was over, and all those days of rehearsing after school came to an end.”

PROPS + CRAFT SERVICES
Last year was my Initiation as a ‘Theatre Mom’ with my son Justin Brown performing in ‘The Descendants’. I LOVED IT! Being at rehearsals again this year meant working with both schools talented, dedicated staff and students. Watching these young people develop their skills (music, tech, performing, designing) is a memorable privilege. They are talented, dynamic individuals bringing so many gifts both on stage and behind it. Watching them grow as they work and support each other as a community is a gift. So bringing together some props and snacks just added to the fun! My real talent is ‘Car Karaoke’ with the JMan on road trips!
Thank you all who support this amazing crew!
