Melissa Marie is a proud Indo-Caribbean artist who discovered her love for dance at an early age. Growing up in a culturally rich household, she embraced the vibrant rhythms and traditions of her Trinidadian heritage, which laid the foundation for her passion and creativity.
Specializing in styles such as Bollywood, Soca, Fusion, and more, Melissa has seamlessly blended cultural traditions with modern commercial choreography. Her work has graced the stages of numerous festivals and events which has allowed her to showcase her ability to bring energy, artistry, and cultural authenticity to diverse audiences.
By blending tradition with innovation, she continues to inspire others to embrace their roots and explore the transformative power of dance. Melissa Marie’s work is a testament to her dedication, creativity, and drive to shine a spotlight on the beauty of Indo-Caribbean culture through the universal language of movement.
Raised in Scarborough, A.J. Harper has been dancing since the age of 10. He began competing in street dance battles such as Golden Groove in 2017, placing top 4 with his main style of dance called popping. After joining the dance collective Blvckout fam, A.J. has won 2 consecutive 2 v 2 Allstyles battles called the Jamdemic, placed 1st in an online American based dance contest, and won the Cypher on the Block popping competition in 2022. A.J. is also an experienced youth worker, using Popping to encourage movement for Teens and Adults with disabilities through programs with BAMD, Jake’s House and Shadow Lake Centre.
Jendayi “Jiggz" Dyer is a professional Choreographer, Dancer, and Performer based in Toronto. She began her journey in the Toronto dance scene in 2006 and has trained in various street dance styles such as hip hop, popping, locking, house, top rocking, waacking and dancehall.
Over the years, Jendayi has performed and competed on a variety of live stages across Canada, such as a 2 time championship at The Beatdown with Faction Crew, and holding current championship at The Goat Competition in Toronto with her crew, House of Hunniez. Wanting to expand her skill set, she ventured into a new passion of working on theatre and film. A few highlights of her career include a principle role in Netflix's immersive show, A Queen's Ball: Bridgerton, a featured performer in Zombie's 2 and 3 as well as Sneakerella. Jendayi proudly represents and instructs with Footnotes Academy, Twisted Ankles Dance Crew and has co-founded an all-female street dance crew, House of Hunniez.
Beyond performing, she enjoys giving back to her community through her role as an Instructor with Footnotes Academy, Run The Flex and City Centre Dance. Jendayi has been fortunate enough to be able-to train under some of the city's best, and continues to further pursue her passion with a crew of like-minded dancers who continue to inspire and motivate her.
Manpreet Singh is a creative and expressive Toronto based dancer, choreographer and teacher. Manpreet started his dance training at a very young age in India, gaining experience in various dance styles. Pursuing his dream of training internationally, Manpreet moved to Toronto, Canada in 2021 and graduated from the Centennial College Dance Program in 2022. Currently, Manpreet dances for the Toronto Raptors as a part of the North Side Crew and his credits include various artists- to name a few: Jonas Brothers, Reve, July Black, Kiesza, Haviah Mighty, Etc.
Manpreet aims to revolutionize the idea of dance fusions by infusing his Indian culture into western dance genres.
