The major parts of the muscular system are different types of muscles that help the body move and work. There are three main types: skeletal, smooth, and cardiac muscles. Skeletal muscles are attached to bones and help with movements like walking, running, and lifting things. Smooth muscles are found in places like the stomach and intestines, helping food move through the body without us thinking about it. Cardiac muscle is only in the heart and pumps blood through the body all the time.
Each type of muscle has an important job to keep the body going. Skeletal muscles help us move, stand up straight, and protect important parts inside our body. Smooth muscles do things automatically, like helping us breathe and digest food. The cardiac muscle is super strong because it never stops working to keep blood moving. Without these muscles, we wouldn’t be able to move, eat, or even stay alive!
