Geocaching is an outdoor adventure, which uses the Global Position System (GPS) and other navigation techniques to find a hidden "cache", which might be placed anywhere - in a park, under a rock off a hiking trail, or even in plain sight.
What is a Geocache?
Traditional geocaches are small trinkets that have been placed in containers and hidden at the given GPS coordinates.
There are several different types of Caches that can used in Geocaching. Learn more about them here!
How do I find a Cache?
The locations of these geocaches are given as latitude and longitude coordinates and are usually shared via websites or Social Media. These caches can be found by locating the coordinates using a GPS unit. These GPS units can be purchased at an outdoor; however, you can also use a handheld device such as a cellphone or tablet!
