Klingenstein alumni are uniquely positioned to make a meaningful impact on increasing access to leadership opportunities through mentorship, forums for discussions, and dissemination of professional opportunities.
With only 7% of NAIS school leaders identifying as people of color, there is a need for an intentional network to connect and support aspiring and established leaders of color in independent schools. An NAIS study identified a misalignment between the skills candidates of color believe they bring and the stated preferences of search firms and committees, which favor experience and candidates already in leadership roles.
