Greetings and welcome to my eportfolio. This is a combination of presentations, research papers, projects, internships, and discussion posts from various coursework. This is a collection of fifteen professional competency areas from San Jose State University's iSchool Master of Library and Information Science graduate program. This website represents my experience and knowledge of library science, which includes various experiences and plans for the future.
Organization
I conferred with various MLIS students who were also planning to finish this semester and landed on Google Sites as a platform to present my portfolio. This is mostly so that I could maintain as well as sustain the site even after I graduate. The site is organized into three main sections: Introduction, Competencies(each has a separate link A-O), and Conclusion & Affirmation. The alphabetical competencies includes links to evidence.
Process
I began my eportfolio by first submitting a word document and link of competency A in the first reading window. I knew I had much to write given my wide array of internships and coursework with noteworthy projects. To think about which assignments or evidence to choose for each competency was not an obstacle for me. What I did encounter in my second reading window is the technical aspect of accessing content on the Google Site as well as navigating the permissions aspect for each competency. As a result I decided to remove Google Docs altogether and simply copied and pasted what I had written in my Google Drive directly onto the site as text. This eliminated any further technical issues.
