In the Google Sites Dashboard click the Plus sign in the lower right hand corner.
When you create a new Site it is added to your Google Drive. Your site will automatically save all of the changes you will make, your site will not be public until you publish it for others to see.
Name Different Parts of your Site:
Site document name: Enter a unique name that will help you keep track of your site - this will only be visible to you.
Site Name: The site name will appear in your header and also title bar. For your site name to appears you will need 2 or more pages in your site.
Page Title: Each Page will have a title. This title will appear at the top of the page in your navigation menu and on the heading of each page.
In the right navigation menu Google provides you with a verity of layouts. Select the layout you would like to add to you page simply by clicking on it.
Once you have chosen a layout you can drag and drop it to various places on you page.
Each theme comes with a preset background, color scheme, and font selection. Adjust fonts, colors, and the background later, and you can always change the theme after the site is created. If you need to make any changes, click Undo, or Redo.
To change your background image simply float your mouse over the cover page heading and click Change image. You can either select a pre-loaded Google image or Upload your own.
To change your heading float you mouse over the cover and click Heading type. and choose one of the following options:
Cover
Large banner
Banner
Title only
Click Themes from the right hand navigation menu and click on the theme and fonts that you would like to choose. You can change the theme as many times as you want.
Click Pages in the right hand navigation menu,
Click the + sign at the bottom of the page. Click New Page.
Click Pages.
Drag a page up or down in the list to reorder it.
Drag a page on top of another page to nest it.
(Optional) To un-nest a page, drag it to the bottom of the list.
Under Pages, select a page and next to it, click More (three vertical dots) and choose an option:
Set it as the homepage.
Duplicate the page.
Rename the page.
Create a sub page.
Hide a page or sub page. You can’t hide the page that’s set as your homepage.
Delete the page from the site. You can’t remove the page that’s set as your homepage.
