Term 3 - Week three
Summary of our week
This week we have been working on out IPC topic The Great, The Bold and the Brave this unit is about Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. We have been looking at the difference between Primary and Secondary Sources, Mrs Yates telling us about Ancient Rome is a secondary source because she is not quite that old! We kept designing our pots and we have written some Latin that we might even put on them!
In English we are still reading The Odyssey, we have written some predictions, worked on speech bubbles and dialogue and we did some acting to learn about body language because body language can tell us a lot about how someone is feeling inside.
In Maths we have still been learning fractions and we have been comparing fractions. We have also learnt a lot of new mathematical vocabulary related to fractions, like- improper fractions, mixed numbers, equivalent fractions, numerator and denominator.
In PE we have been talking about the FOBISIA games, and making sure we know all the rules of T-Ball!
In Music we playing the Ukulele and learning to sing the song Over the Rainbow.
This has been a great week because we have learnt a lot about Ancient Rome and Ancient Greece.

Term 3 - Week two
Summary of our week
We started the week with some ancient greek olympics in which we did relay running, Javelin throw, Long Jump etc.
In English, we read a book called The Odyssey and researched about ancient Greece. The characters like Penelope, Circe, Odysseus, Paris of Troy etc. in the book had really very amazing pictures.
Mathematics lessons were all about fractions related mostly with improper and proper fractions but we had many ideas about equivalent fractions as well.

Term 3 - Week one
Summary of our week
This week in math we finished our topic about line graphs and now we will be starting to learn about fraction. Plus we got to play a really fun game called prodigy which helped us a lot.
The next book we will start is the Odyssey. We also finished the book called A long walk to water.And we got to do a book review.
In IPC we finished Go With The Flow which was fun. Today we are doing an assembly about our old topic go with the flow. Now we will be starting THE GREAT THE BOLD AND THE BRAVE.
We have started our PSHE safety first and we finished the saving money unit.

Term 2 - Week 9
Summary of our week
in maths we are learning about graphs and tables. We have been practicing telling the time and applying this to reading train tables and solving problems.
in English we are learning about a book called Long Walk To Water and it gets sad when Nya's sister gets sick.
In IPC we learned about go with the flow which is about the water cycle. We made water cycles in bags and have been watching what happens as they go through the water cycle.

Summary of our week
In maths we learned about long division and graphs. It was fun to know that lots of people liked Messi and other players.
In English we learnt more about our book long walk to water. The story got sad after Marial; Salvas friend died because of a lion.
In IPC we went to early years and dug our own rivers for our topic Go with the flow and we also finished our drawing of the Trisuli river.
In paws we practiced our song for the winter concert sing noel, deck the hall, give with your heart.
