Résumé Review Workshop @ TBP 2020 Unvention

by Rachel and Joey Alexander

Résumé Review Workshop

What is your résumé's elevator speech? Does it provide the most relevant information in an easy-to-read format so that a reviewer can quickly determine if you are the right candidate? Do you need help getting your résumé ready for Career Fair? We can help!

The Résumé Review Workshop @ TBP 2020 Unvention is a great opportunity to have your résumé reviewed by dedicated Tau Beta Pi alumni and volunteers. We are accepting résumés from all Tau Beta Pi members, not just the Unvention voting delegate. Please feel free to share information about this workshop with your chapter!

The workshop consists of:

  1. A recorded video presentation that covers how to read a job description and targeting your résumé for a specific position. We will include some tips on résumé formatting, cover letters, and networking. Video will be released soon.

  2. Two separate Q&A sessions, each one hour-long hosted by Rachel and Joey Alexander.

  3. Virtual résumé review. Submit your résumé to our virtual résumé review to be matched with a Tau Beta Pi alumni volunteer. The volunteer will review your résumé and coordinate a time to discuss their feedback with you. We always strive to match your résumé with a volunteer that works in your discipline/specialization of engineering, if possible. Both you and your reviewer will receive an email to notify you that the resume is in the queue. You should receive an email within a day.
