intro
My great grandfather immigrated to New Zealand. They were in search of a new life away from fear, unemployment, poverty and disasters like the war. After the war Europe was= struggling because they spent too much money on the war. Europe was in substantial amounts of debt which led to unemployment.
Push factor one
My first push factor is unemployment. You might be asking yourself what is so bad about unemployment. It is not so much about not having a job, it is more about not having the money to feed your kids and yourself even your spouse. Rent another thing is if you do not have enough money it means you can not pay rent so you became homeless which made you sick more I think if I was in that position i would definitely leave ireland to nz because I Would not like to live in those situations
Push factor two
Push factor two is safety and Diseases. in the 1800s it was very hard for families to survive due to lack of safety and diseases. Safety in ireland is not that good on average there is 35,000 to 45,000 deaths per month so that means that people were in danger all the time. Diseases, another reason that it was hard to survive is due to rat diseases like LCM Lymphocytic Chorio-meningitis which is caused by Breathing in dust that is contaminated with mouse urine or droppings, Direct contact with rodents or their urine and droppings, Bite wounds, although this does not happen frequently.
Discussion of push factors
lack of safety, diseases and unemployment are some of the reasons my great great grandfather left irelandI think in that time I would be enough for me to move to nz especially since normal house mice are pretty common so LCM rates are pretty high I would think
Pull factor one
New land means new opportunities for homes to be made.he had to go look for a job and he didn't find one for three years so he decided to move north to the coromandel a new job came about the job from what I know he worked as an assistant builder he collected wood so builders could build houses. New home means he will not get sick because of warm clothes and beds.
