Reflection # 1
Ancestry Inquiry
Reflect on how you went during your inquiry. What did you learn? How do you feel about Inquiry?
Explain how you worked toward your goals and how it helped your learning. What worked? What didn’t? What will you do differently next time?
My Reflection
My first Inquiry went quite well I think this was because the guidelines were really clear and I presented well.
The Ancestry Inquiry was really useful as it taught me about my father and what the Netherlands were like in the 1980s.
How do I feel about Inquiry now that I’ve spent 5 weeks in it? Well I have to say looking back on my Ancestry Inquiry I could have done more work faster to ease the work load on myself and make it better. But overall I did pretty good on it.
One of my goals was to actively listen, by working on this goal it helped me to improve my learning because it taught me what to do and to actually act on it as was told.
The goal I did the best with was colour coding, the reason it went so well was because I did a lot which allowed colour coding.
Next time I will reach out to more experts, this will help me because then I will get a better source for good information.
Evidence of Term 1 goals being met.
Copy and paste all relevant evidence in the form of screenshots or written explanations of what was done to achieve your 4 goals for Term 1.
e.g. Test results, teacher feedback, parent feedback, peer feedback, your own explantion of things you did etc.
I need to follow the steps of inquiry learning closer
2. I need to have more colour coding for notes and have more notes
3. I need to work on the formality of my report for the future
4. Work on the Presentation of my inquiry and presentation slides
